Valley Fresh Food Initiative combats food deserts by bringing fresh affordable food to underserved neighborhoods through mobile markets and pop-up produce stands. We partner with local farmers purchasing their harvests and selling them at significantly reduced prices in low-income areas. Our sliding scale pricing ensures everyone can afford healthy food regardless of income. We accept SNAP benefits and provide matching programs doubling purchasing power for fresh produce. Our nutrition education programs happen on-site during markets teaching families how to prepare unfamiliar vegetables and fruits. We also operate community gardens in apartment complexes and neighborhoods creating green spaces while growing food. Our comprehensive approach improves food access while building community capacity.
